Terms of Use
Who provides the service
Cacti is a personal app by David de la Torre (Spain). You can write to hola@daviddelatorre.es about anything in these terms. By creating your account you accept these terms and the privacy policy.
What Cacti is
Cacti is a private space for groups of friends. Each week you share what happened to you (text, voice notes or photos) and on Friday the group gets an edition that brings it all together. You can only join a group through an invitation from whoever founded it: what you share is seen by the members of your group, not the public.
The text of the edition is written by an artificial intelligence (Claude, by Anthropic) from what the group shares. It can make mistakes: if something in an edition is wrong or offensive, report it as explained below.
Who can use it
You must be over 18. Your account is personal: you are responsible for what is posted with it and for keeping your password safe.
What is not allowed on Cacti
You may not post or send, whether in entries, comments or your profile photo:
- Harassment, threats, intimidation or content meant to humiliate someone.
- Content that incites hatred or violence against people or groups.
- Sexually explicit content and, under no circumstances, sexual content involving minors.
- Illegal content or content that promotes illegal activities.
- Other people's personal data or images without their permission.
- Impersonation, spam or content that infringes the rights of others.
How to report
In the app you can report a story in the edition or someone else's comment (in each story's thread) and a person in your group (on the group screen, "Report or block someone"). You can also write to hola@daviddelatorre.es. We review every report within 48 hours.
Blocking, removing and leaving
On the same screen you can block someone in your group: you stop seeing their stories and comments and receiving their notifications in every group you share. That person is not told, and you can undo it any time from "Your account". Whoever founded a group can remove a member: they lose access to the group, stop receiving its notifications and can't rejoin with the link; their stories in the editions already published and the scoreboard are kept. And any member can leave a group from the group screen, with the same effect; the founder, instead of leaving, can delete the whole group.
What we do when the rules are broken
There is no tolerance for the content listed above or for anyone who harasses other members. We review every report within 48 hours and, depending on how serious it is, we remove the content and suspend the account temporarily or close it; harassment and illegal content mean the account is closed. If the content may be a crime, we may report it to the authorities.
The pot
The pot tally is a note-keeping tool between friends: the app does not charge, pay or move any money. Whatever gets paid is paid outside Cacti and is up to the group.
Your content
What you post remains yours. You give us permission to store it, process it (transcribe your voice notes and compose the edition) and show it to your group, only to provide the service. You can delete your entries for the current week and your comments at any time, and your whole account from the app or at cacti.social/borrar-cuenta.
The service
Cacti is provided as is, with no guarantee that it will always work or be error-free. We may change it or stop offering it; if we shut it down, we will give notice in advance so you can keep what is yours.
Changes and governing law
If these terms change, we will update the date above and, if the change is significant, tell you inside the app. They are governed by Spanish law.
